Nemesis is a Diabolic. Created to protect a galactic Senator’s daughter, Sidonia. The girl who has grown up by her side and who is as much as sister as a master. There’s no one Nemesis wouldn’t kill to keep her safe. But when the power-mad Emperor summons Sidonia to the galactic court as a hostage, there is only one way for Nemesis to protect Sidonia.
She must become her.
Now one of the galaxy’s most dangerous weapons is masquerading in a world of corruption and Nemesis has to hide her true abilities or risk everything. As the Empire begins to fracture and rebellion looms closer, Nemesis learns that there is something stronger than her deadly force: the one thing she’s been told she doesn’t have – humanity. And, amidst all the danger, action and intrigue, her humanity might be the only thing that can save her, Sidonia and the entire Empire… This text comes from Goodreads. What did I think about the book?
Can someone fix me?? I think I’m broken…. Just finished reading this book last night at 2am.. I’m so thrilled by this book and very happy I decided to break my chosen January TBR to read this masterpiece. I truly believe S.J. Kincaid was tutored by George R.R. Martin. With the amount of what the fuck moments in this story. I love this story so much, it gave me the push to come out of my reviewing slump that has been going on for the past three months!!
This story has it all!! The excitement, the unbelievable plot, the [unexpected] romance, and the means to keep you reading page after page. This book makes me want more of Nemesis and makes me want to see where the ship will sail with Tyrus.
Like I said the plot was amazing. It has plot-twists you really can’t see coming and that’s an amazing skill to have in writing. The world building was really well done, but not the most important factor overall. It did play a huge role in some parts of the story and it was done very well. What amazes me the most was the character growth. It’s the most important factor in this story. S.J. Kincaid did things to Nemesis we wouldn’t dream of in the first part of the book. Even Sidonia has grown in the book, which was a surprising thing as well. After Nemesis I believe Tyrus the most interesting character. S.J. has some skill in letting us believe one thing and revealing nothing until the right moment. Like WOW!! But these aren’t the only interesting characters in this story. This book has so many important and interesting characters that are not the biggest characters here, but play a very huge role plotwise.
So I can recommend everyone to read this book. I really love it and I can’t wait for the second book to be published. I thank S.J. Kincaid for het gift of writing this amazing story and hope the sequels will be just as good or even better =]
