I wish my birthday was like now…. instead of November 30 hehe. There are too many good books being released. Just now or in the coming months. My Amazon cart had more pre-order items on it than published items hahahahaa….. But I need to get me some money first… That’s why I want to have my birthday like now hahahaha…. I’m so excited for the coming releases it’s too bad I gotta save money to pay for school… School has priority lol….
I even got myself a countdown app on my phone – normal people would use the app for counting down to a vacation – I use the app to count down to new book releases =]
It looks like this. I save the cover image from Goodreads and the release date and I put it in my countdown app. I can slide the bar from counting down in years to counting down in seconds. Now it says 32 days and 10 hours – each release is set on midnight by me.

So when she feels a spark with a gorgeous neurosurgeon named Ryle Kincaid, everything in Lily’s life suddenly seems almost too good to be true.
Ryle is assertive, stubborn, maybe even a little arrogant. He’s also sensitive, brilliant, and has a total soft spot for Lily. And the way he looks in scrubs certainly doesn’t hurt. Lily can’t get him out of her head. But Ryle’s complete aversion to relationships is disturbing. Even as Lily finds herself becoming the exception to his “no dating” rule, she can’t help but wonder what made him that way in the first place.
As questions about her new relationship overwhelm her, so do thoughts of Atlas Corrigan—her first love and a link to the past she left behind. He was her kindred spirit, her protector. When Atlas suddenly reappears, everything Lily has built with Ryle is threatened.

Children of Icarus by Caighlan Smith was given to me as an advance copy through NetGalley. It reminds me a bit of The Maze Runner. I’m curious…. I hope it will be better than The Maze Runner. That story was weird and I could never read it with a normal face. Let’s hope this book will give me a satisfying story about a labyrinth/maze.
A Little Knowledge by Emma Newman is the fourth book in the series. A few weeks back I got interested in the series because of the covers, they are so pretty!! So I hope I can start this series fast and progress quickly enough to start this beauty.
It Ends With Us by Colleen Hoover would be the first book I’ll read of her. I’m excited, haven’t read anything like that in a long time. Been stuck on fantasy and thrillers for a long time.
The Beauty of Darkness by Mary E. Pearson is not a book high on my list. I’m very interested in it though, but I haven’t read the first two books yet. But that cover is beautiful and so powerful.
United by Melissa Landers has the same story as The Beauty of Darkness. I haven’t read the first two books and I think the cover is pretty. But it is on my TBR list so I’m excited for it to be released.
The Gilded Cage became interesting because of NetGalley. Too bad my request to receive a copy was declined. But I’m still excited for this book to be released.
A Promise of Fire is one I did get from NetGalley and will be one of my first August reads. I meant to have read it earlier but a read-a-thon interrupted my plans, as did Pokemon Go. hahaha
Nevernight by Jay Kristoff. I’ve heard a lot about this book and saw a lot of signed books from a pre-release party. That cover is amazing. This book is definitely going to be on my TBR-pile!!
The Flame Never Dies by Rachel Vincent is here for the same reason United and The Beauty of Darkness are.
The Sight by Chloe Neill and Wild Embrace by Nalini Singh. I haven’t read any book of these authors yet, but these are highly recommended to me by my mother-in-law. I love vampire series. So I’ll see and put these on my TBR.
Spellbreaker by Blake Charlton was provided to me by NetGalley. The Description says it’s the third novel in the series, but it could be read as a standalone as well. I’m still on a search for the first two books, and will read them as a series. Can’t stand it otherwise hahahaha.
The Thousandth Floor was also, sadly, denied for an early copy via NetGalley. But I’m so excited to read this book!! The cover is amazing and so is the description of the book!!
A Torch Against The Night!! Oh pick me, pick me, pick me…. Nope too bad I didn’t get the ARC. I won’t read any teasers, excerpts or so and I’m trying to avoid any spoilers. But I’m so excited I’m jumping on the couch as I’m writing this hahahaha
Furthermore by Tahereh Mafi… Her Shatter Me Series is still on my TBR, but this cover is so pretty and colourful I really want to read this book!!
The Bronze Key by Holly Black & Cassandra Clare is the third book in the Magisterium series. I’m excited for it, even though I haven’t read the first two. I’ve seen photographs of the book and those coloured pages are beautiful. I want them so bad!!
Queen Rising by Danielle Paige is the second novella from the Stealing Snow series. I’m excited for this series, I loved her Dorothy Must Die series and can’t wait for more books and novellas in this series as well.
So this is my Most Anticipated Releases of August list.. Anything you would like to read? Or maybe recommend me? I’m curious of what you think of these releases.
